The weekend in gaming

Published Friday, April 17, 2009

It's the first Saturday and Sunday I've had off in about a month and the girlfriend (who overall is pretty tolerant of my hobby) is out of town for the next few days. But rather than use this as an opportunity to hit up the town and see what kind of trouble I can get into, this is going to be an epic weekend for gaming.

First up, I'm going to try and get through the latest Fallout 3 add-on, The Pitt. I played this a bit last night, and while it's nice to see some DLC that isn't just a new costume or other blatant grab for more money, I do kind of miss the Alaska setting of the first one.

I'm still plowing through Resident Evil 5 at a steady pace, and if I really make the effort, I should be able to finish it this weekend. Maybe I'll even try out the online co-op. We'll see.

Then of course, I just picked up Halo Wars and the Halo 3 Mythic map pack. Late Friday and Saturday nights are usually a prime time to play Halo 3 with my often inebriate friends in the Lower 48. Hijinks ensue.

So anyone else out there have any big gaming plans for the weekend?
